Melt & Pour Soap Bases

Make your own quick and easy soap with one of our meltable soap bases.

Method:

  • Cut 1kg of base into small chunks and melt slowly in a double-boiler (bain marie) over medium heat
  • Remove from the heat and allow to cool slightly
  • Add 5-10ml of your favourite essential oil and stir gently until mixed
  • Add a few drops of M & P Dye, or a small amount of clay powder, dried petals, herbs etc for colour and texture if desired
  • Pour into soap moulds and leave to set overnight
  • Remove from moulds

1kg of soap base makes between 10 and 20 bars of soap depending on the size and design of moulds used.
